For Training dogs, we like to schedule the drops and pick-ups of the Board & Train clients so that we have plenty of time to visit with you about your dog. When you drop off, we need as much information from you about your dog as you can provide. This will help us to determine his training goals. When it’s time for you to come pick up your dog, we will need an hour to go over everything that your dog has learned and then transfer the role of instructor over to you. Those appointments  need to be scheduled with the trainer.

Every dog is different and comes with his own set of behaviors that will affect the way he learns.

Depending on the package and time that your dog will be here, each dog’s progress will differ. Because humans and canines are free thinking, it would be like asking if school teachers have a guarantee that students will pass. We have a curriculum that consists of our commands, manners, training sessions throughout the day, and respect for the commands as well as people.

This will be transferred to you during private lessons. After they go home it is up to you to follow our direction and do your homework. We guarantee your dog will have knowledge of the words and that we will be here to help transfer what your dog has learned.

The rest is up to you, and some changes in your household may need to be made. If you are still struggling when you take your dog home, another lesson may be necessary in order for us to address the problem. Please call sooner rather than later. We don’t want your dog getting away with whatever issue you’re having for a prolonged period.

Absolutely, we just ask that you label it clearly. If your stay is extended, please bring the food in a large enough plastic container with a lid. You may have food and other items shipped directly to us. Just let us know to expect a delivery. Make sure your dog food comes with his name clearly written on the bag or container. We do have extra plastic bins here if you don’t have one. Treats will be given once a day. The exception to this is the Board and Train dogs. Because we sometime train with food, we monitor how much food your dog gets. We need to keep those dogs food motivated!

We’d love for you to come and visit our facility. We do ask that you call and make an appointment during regular business hours. Our welcoming staff will be delighted to take you on an informative tour of our facilities. Please call 512-273-2540 to schedule.

While the kennel itself does not have central heating and air, we do monitor extreme heat and cold spells closely with heaters and fans that keep it climate controlled.

If it is boarding only, we absolutely can put family members together. We have large runs that will accommodate 2 large breed dogs. All dogs must get along at meal times as we will not separate them to feed. If any dog shows aggression to one of the other dogs at any time, we will separate them and charge accordingly.

However, in the Board & Train environment, during training, we need to be able to control every aspect of the dog’s environment and to have the dogs ready to learn all throughout the day. We cannot maintain that control if family members are rough-housing and playing in the kennel runs during their off time.

Yes, we can accommodate pets with special needs such as diabetics, geriatric pets, pets in heat, or other pets needing special care.

Please discuss your pet’s special needs with us when you book your reservation. If medicine is to be given during his stay, please bring the medicine clearly labeled with all instructions written down. There is no extra charge for this.
